In 1947, he retired and returned to the country, but reportedly faced punitive action for disobeying orders. He died in 1986.

TOKYO, Japan - Orders for commemorative coins for this year's World Cup soccer finals to be co-hosted by Japan and South Korea will be accepted from Feb. 26 to March 11, the Finance Ministry said Feb. 25. Special 10,000 yen gold coins will sell for 40,000 yen each and 1,000 yen silver coins for 6,000 yen.
